He was brought up on a farm in eastern Norway, and from early age accustomed to nature as a playground. Skiing, fishing, hunting, mountaineering and general outdoors has been with him since. Both in occupation and recreation.

His career as a photographer started out of University in Australia with a degree in journalism and photography. He started up freelancing, but it did not take long before he got employed as a full-time travel journalist and photographer in the Aller Media House. Then he moved on to being a photographer and reporter in Aftenposten, which is considered the “Newspaper of record” in Norway.

15 years ago he decided to pursue photography as his main focus. Since then he has had numerous commercial clients, as well as being published in several prestigious magazines both in Norway and internationally.

Throughout all the years of doing outdoors, he has developed his own artistic style of photography. Clean lines and natural palette, waiting out the perfect conditions and light on challenging locations, is his specialty.
