Flying in Lofoten
Geitgallien is 1 094 meters high and the second highest peak in the Lofoten islands after Higravtindan. It is nevertheless one of the most beautiful peaks in the Lofoten archipelago. Reaching the top in winter demands good snow conditions and good weather.
On this march-day in 2021 we had both, and free skier Ivar Løvik flew off the mountain with courage and style with all of the Lofoten mountains beneath his skis. The summit is seen to the left.
