Storen

Store Skagastølstind, also known as Storen, is the third highest peak in Norway. It is situated on the border between the municipality of Luster and Årdal in Vestland county. The 2 405 metre high mountain is part of the Hurrungane range. The first ascent was made by William Cecil Slingsby on 21 July 1876.

There are a number of different routes to the top, and this photo was taken while climbing the northern ridge. The spot is called Mohns Skar, and is the location where Slingsby´s fellow climbers Emanuel Mohn og Knut Lykken waited for Slingsby to summit the famous mountain in 1876.
